Arrowe park Hospital
Wirral Hospital provides a complete District General Hospital service to the people of the Wirral, a catchment population of 350,000. The hospital is on 2 main sites; Arrowe Park Hospital (800 beds) and Clatterbridge General Hospital (500 beds). The acute work and the Accident & Emergency Department are at the Arrowe Park site. The Clatterbridge site is shared with the Regional Centre for Oncology. Over 200,000 examinations are performed per year. Registrars are based at the Arrowe Park site with sessions at Clatterbridge General Hospital for Breast work, and at Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, MRI and Nuclear Medicine.
There are a large number of Clinico-Radiological meetings and an excellent Grand Round programme. In the department there are: Weekly: half day formal teaching session
